In a series of events to promote tourism, this year, Binh Dinh will organize the first international hot air balloon festival on the holidays of April 30 and May 1.
On the morning of April 12, Binh Dinh Department of Tourism coordinated with Binh Dinh Department of Information and Communications and Binh Dinh Tourism Association to organize a press conference to information about the events of Binh Dinh Tourism Festival in 2023.
Mr. Huynh Cao Nhat – deputy director of the Department of Tourism of Binh Dinh province – said that in a series of events to promote tourism, this year, Binh Dinh will organize an international hot air balloon festival with the theme “Quy Nhon Sea Paradise – Colorful” is expected to be held from April 25 to May 5 at Quy Nhon square.
Visitors to the festival can admire a large number of hot air balloons of all colors, sizes and types.
In addition, visitors can directly experience the feeling of sitting on a hot air balloon to see the entire scenery of the beautiful coastal city. It is expected that there will be about 12 hot air balloons with a diameter of 25-28m, flying at a height of 300-500m, and can carry 2 tourists. Visitors can experience two forms of free flight or anchored flight.
For free flights, it is expected to be held at 6 a.m. every day, each flight can carry 2 passengers and the pilot, the altitude is from 300-500 m and fly 5-10km from the take-off point. Each flight duration is from 45- 60 minutes in weather conditions with no rain and wind speeds below 15 km/h.
With anchored flights, it is expected to be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every day, carrying 2-3 passengers and pilots each time, each flight lasting about 5 minutes in conditions of no rain and wind speeds below 8km/h.
“This is the first time Binh Dinh has organized a hot air balloon festival and is considered one of the main activities of Binh Dinh’s 2023 tourism festival to attract domestic and foreign tourists. Hopefully the hot air balloon festival The balloon will bring many interesting experiences to tourists“, Mr. Nhat shared.
In the series of events to stimulate tourism this year, there are also special events such as: Colorful Binh Dinh tourism art photo exhibition; National final of Miss World contest; Exhibition fair of OCOP products and traditional craft villages of Binh Dinh; Lion and Dragon Festival; Martial arts performances… will bring visitors new and inspiring experiences.
