On June 3, Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee said that provincial leaders had a meeting to hear a report on the plan to organize the Binh Dinh Tuna Festival in 2023.
After this meeting, the leaders of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to receive comments on the draft organizational plan. At the same time, please note the Department in unifying the attendees to include leaders of ministries, central branches, provinces in the Central – Central Highlands region, delegates who are provincial leaders and leaders of departments, branches and associations. provincial organizations, districts, towns and cities in the province.
In terms of scale, Binh Dinh province will organize the 2023 Tuna Festival for about 3 days, held around the end of July or early August this year. Funding for the opening ceremony is used from socialized funds mobilized by the event organizer.
To deploy, leaders of Binh Dinh province also assigned specific tasks to each department; which assigned the Department of Culture and Information to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to carry out the opening ceremony. Regarding the organization of the workshop, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is assigned to preside. In addition, the organization of fair activities within the framework of the festival is assigned to the Department of Industry and Trade.
Binh Dinh province is one of the localities with a long tradition of seafood exploitation with a strong fishing fleet. Annual seafood exploitation output averages 250,000 tons, with ocean tuna alone reaching more than 10,000 tons/year. This is a strong industry of the province.
